Provincial Flag: Adopted, September 22, 1969 This flag is divided horizontally by green on the top which represents the Northern forested areas and gold on the bottom which represents the southern grain field areas. The shield of arms is on the hoist end and the provincial flower, Western Red Lilly, is on the fly end. The shield displays a royal red lion and three wheat bundles symbolizing the provinces agriculture resources.
