First decide where you would like to visit and the time of year you would like to travel. What means of transportation you will be using. Check out the area you have decided on for tourist attractions and accommodations that will be available to you. A well-planned trip is relaxing and time efficient. |

When Booking Your Travel
Keep in mind when making air, train or bus travel arrangements the earlier you book the better rates will be available to you. Discuss this with your travel agent. |

Packing For Your Trip
Do not over pack - remember laundry facilities and hair driers are usually available in most hotels, motels, inns and bed and breakfast Inquire about the facilities when booking your accommodations. |

Passport Information
US Travelers do not require a passport or a visa to enter Canada although it is the best form of identification. To show Citizenship, US visitors are required to carry with them a Birth Certificate and one ID photo card. |

| European Travelers do require a valid passport but do not require a visa to enter Canada. |
| |
| Travelers visiting Canada with children should carry the following: identification for each child; if you are not the legal guardian of a child traveling with you, a letter of permission from the child's parent is required; divorced parents with shared custody should carry legal documentation showing this information along with a letter of permission from the parents. |

Health Insurance
Before completing your travel plans, checking your health insurance plan is a good idea, as most plans do not include coverage outside your country of residence. So, before leaving home you should obtain extra insurance. |

Travel Guidebooks
Great reference to find out more about the area your will be visiting, check the date and make sure you are consulting the most up-to-date Travel Guide. Discovering the area you are visiting should be fun so, use your guidebook in moderation to get yourself oriented with the area. A map of the area is also a good reference. |

Consult local reports or articles of the area you will be visiting for information about the region and weather conditions during the time of year you will be traveling. This could be very helpful when packing for your trip. |
